Maggie Hendry 1907
This small Scottish sampler is worked all in cross stitch in just two colors (pink and green). The reproduction is 130 stitches wide by 132 stitches tall and was stitched on 32 count shell colored linen, chosen to match the original. DMC threads were used to match the original cotton threads. The finished size of the model is 8" by 8.25". This brightly colored sampler was found not too far from where it was stitched along the North Sea Coast. Bank Street Primary School in the ancient town of Brechin closed in 1966 but the Victorian building is still standing. Suitable for beginners, the original is in the Samplers Revisited collection. Suggested retail price is $9.00.
